Introduction
The ThinkSystem Cornelis CN5000 Omni-Path QSFP112 HFI Adapter is a high-performance Host Fabric Interface (HFI) adapter implementing Omni-Path Architecture (OPA). The adapter is purpose-built to deliver industry-leading performance in extreme-scale environments. The adapter has one QSFP112 cage that supports 400Gb OPA connectivity with under 1 µs of MPI latency.
The following figure shows the air-cooled 1-port variant of the Cornelis CN5000 adapter. The water-cooled adapter used direct-connect cold plates and copper piping to remove heat from the adapter.
