Full stack solution HPE Networking Private 5G includes all the components needed to deploy a private cellular network, including 4G/5G small cell radios (indoor and outdoor models), 4G/5G mobile core software, a hardware appliance, SIM/eSIMs, and management platform (cloud or on-prem). For customers based in the U.S., our solution includes an integrated spectrum access system (SAS) to enable the use of CBRS spectrum.
Enterprise simplicity HPE Networking Private 5G is designed specifically to meet the needs of enterprises without the complexity of large public 5G solutions. Intuitive management tools with configuration automation and zero touch provisioning enable network administrators to set up and manage their private 5G network without extensive training and in a very similar way to Wi-Fi. Multiple deployment options are available to enable enterprises to deploy private cellular where and how they need to.
Proven, flexible core technology Our solution leverages 4G/5G mobile core technology which has been deployed by 500 enterprises and 25 service providers globally over 16 years. Our mobile core software (HPE Networking Private 5G Core) can be deployed as part of the full stack solution, as a pre-integrated appliance from HPE or on third party hardware to support specific requirements and use cases.

HPE Networking Private 5G Components HPE Networking Private 5G Core HPE Networking Private 5G Core provides a software-based 5G Core and 4G Evolved Packet Core (EPC) solution for private cellular networks as a virtual appliance which can be deployed in fully virtualized environments (NFV), data centers or on standard off-the-shelf servers. The Core is designed for centralized or highly distributed deployments in enterprises, governments, logistics, natural resources, manufacturing, public safety, mission critical applications and vertical markets in general.
The HPE Networking Private 5G Core provides a proven and robust mobile private network platform that allows deployment of 4G EPC and 5G Core networks with Wi-Fi-like simplicity to install and operate. The Core confidently supports current and advanced use cases with high demanding throughput and flexible scalability on standard hardware.
HPE Networking Private 5G Voice Services complements the Core with the support of Voice Services (IMS) to deliver Voice/Video over LTE or NR and supplementary services.
Available both as a virtual appliance for customers willing to select their own HW and be in full control of their solution integration and running on HPE Networking Private 5G Appliance Bundles:
HPE Networking Private 5G Appliance Bundles HPE Networking Private 5G Appliance Bundles are pre-integrated sets of HPE Compute and HPE Networking products to run the HPE Networking Private 5G Core. Those product bundles are available in three scalable hardware options: - HPE NW P5G M1200 Appliance Bundle up to 1,000 users - HPE NW P5G M2200 Appliance Bundle up to 10,000 users - HPE NW P5G M3200 Appliance Bundle up to 40,000 users
HPE Networking Private 5G M2000 Appliance (cloud deployments only) The HPE Networking Private 5G M2000 Appliance is an HPE ProLiant server on which the HPE Networking Private 5G Core has been pre-loaded and pre-configured. The HPE Networking Private 5G M2000 Appliance is a scalable platform that delivers exceptional compute performance, memory density, and scalability plus the high-speed data transfer rate needed to run mobile core technology. The HPE Networking Private 5G M2000 Appliance is engineered to optimize IT services with a cloud operating experience, built-in security, and optimized performance for workloads to drive business forward. Two appliances can be deployed for high availability.
HPE Networking Private 5G Management Dashboard (cloud deployments only) HPE Networking Private 5G features an intuitive cloud-based management dashboard, which features zero touch provisioning and wizards for greater automation, provides detailed customer insights, and enables key functions such as subscriber and USIM management, service monitoring, service configuration, and user role management. OpenAPIs can deliver interoperability with service provider portals. |

HPE Networking Private 5G 1000 and 2000 Small Cells Series HPE offers both 4G and 5G small cell radios (indoor and outdoor) to support a variety of enterprise user endpoints and use cases. HPE Networking Private 5G 1000 and 2000 Small Cells Series support the B48/n48, n77, and n78 spectrum bands. The HPE Networking Private 5G 1000 and 2000 Small Cells Series can be managed using the HPE Networking Private 5G Management Dashboard. 4G indoor and outdoor options are available for enterprises in the U.S. with 4G device ecosystems.
HPE Networking Private 5G Antennas HPE Networking Private 5G Antennas are used with HPE Networking Private 5G 2000 Outdoor Small Cells Series to extend coverage, sharpen signal quality, and deliver the reliability required to meet the demand of modern enterprise and industrial private cellular deployments. By combining the 2000 series outdoor radios with the right high-gain, purpose-built antennas, connectivity is transformed into a strategic advantage-reaching farther, penetrating tougher environments, and keeping critical operations online, without compromise.
HPE Networking Private 5G Cavity Filters HPE Networking Private 5G Cavity Filters are used with the HPE Networking Private 5G 2000 Outdoor Small Cells to deliver optimal bandpass performance with low insertion loss, low intermodulation, and high power-handling capability. Their excellent return loss ensures an efficient match with antennas and the base station, preserving transmitted power.
HPE Networking Private 5G SIMs HPE Networking Private 5G SIM/eSIMs come in either a physical or virtual form factor. They can be provisioned via CSV files, APIs, or manual updates using our cloud-based management interface. Devices must support either a SIM or eSIM to be able to access the private cellular network.
Spectrum Access Service (SAS) Private cellular networks can work with slices of public networks, or shared spectrum. The HPE Networking Private 5G cloud deployment option can be deployed with shared or lightly licensed spectrum and includes a Spectrum Access Service (SAS). The SAS protects incumbents while using CBRS, shared spectrum in the 3.55-3.7 GHz band and allows U.S. enterprises to deploy a private cellular network without the additional costs and contractual requirements associated with carrier contracts (U.S. market only). |
