Overview

HPE StoreFront for VMware vRealize Log Insight

The HPE StoreFront Analytics for VMware vRealize Log Insight is a software adapter that extends vRealize Log Insight functionality to support HPE 3PAR StoreServ arrays. VMware administrators using HPE StoreFront Analytics can visualize and analyze data from their HPE 3PAR StoreServ storage array directly within vRealize Log Insight without the need to switch to another tool. This allows to deliver real-time log management for VMware environments, across HPE 3PAR StoreServ storage and virtual layers.

HPE StoreFront Analytics is distributed as a management pack that installs directly in VMware vRealize Log Insight.

VMware vRealize Log Insight delivers automated log management through log analytics, aggregation and search. It provides the operational intelligence and enterprise-wide visibility needed to proactively enable service levels in environments with HPE 3PAR StoreServ
Pre created HPE Storage Dashboard: Provides summary and detailed log message information about the HPE storage system in the VMware vSphere environment.
Provides a single pane of glass management of virtual and physical storage infrastructure to help visualize the problem areas between physical and virtual physical storage resources.
Allows for easier troubleshooting of storage related problems and bottlenecks as VMs can be mapped back to the underlying physical storage infrastructure that they reside on.

Key storage log messages made visible	The HPE StoreFront Analytics for VMware vRealize Log Insight uniquely provides key log messages for HPE Storage in VMware vSphere environments.

Gain insight into your HPE storage directly from VMware Log Insight	The HPE StoreFront Analytics for VMware vRealize Log Insight provides the user with several ways to access storage information based on the selected messages in the user interface. The provided dashboards also allow the user to access different views of the detailed storage information for the selected messages(s):

Simplified Installation, Licensing, and Support	The HPE StoreFront Analytics for VMware vRealize Log Insight software is available from software depot at hp.com. The downloaded installation package includes instructions on how to install it. Support for the plug-in is available with an HPE service agreement. HPE 3PAR Recovery Manager Software for VMware (RM-V)	HPE 3PAR Recovery Manager Software for VMware (RM-V) is an array-based, online VM snapshot and recovery solution that gives superior control over data protection and recovery in VMware vSphere environments—including granular, rapid online recovery of files. By leveraging HPE 3PAR Virtual Copy software, Recovery Manger enables VMware administrators to nondisruptively create hundreds of space-efficient, application-consistent, point-in-time snapshots to protect and recover VMDKs, Virtual Machine File Systems (VMFS), individual VMs, or individual files. Along with the HPE 3PAR Management Plug-In for VMware vCenter, HPE 3PAR Recovery Manager software gives administrators access to all of this functionality from within the familiar and easy-to-use VMware vCenter Server virtualization management console.
