Overview

Carbonite

Today's businesses are under constant pressure to increase revenue, maximize efficiency, reduce risks and drive down costs. This means no tolerance for downtime or data loss. If mission-critical data, applications or servers are unavailable, you can lose revenue, forfeit customers, miss opportunities, rack up fines and suffer brand damage.

Carbonite Availability and Carbonite Move (Powered by DoubleTake) offers exceptional application and data protection in virtual, cloud, and physical computing environments.

Carbonite Availability is a proven, simple, scalable high availability solution for Windows and Linux that defends your business' profitability and reputation by providing protection from data loss and downtime. Carbonite Availability's real-time, asynchronous byte level replication efficiently and securely replicates entire servers or select data to another server located anywhere on the planet or in the cloud so that your business can quickly and easily recover from an outage. Network independence and bandwidth efficiency allow Carbonite Availability to be run on any network without the need for dedicated resources or special hardware. Hardware independence also enables replication between any physical, virtual or cloud server or storage type so that you can choose the infrastructure that meets your needs. Easy to manage and designed to scale to even the most complex server environments, Carbonite Availability keeps your business running 24x7 at a price you can afford.

Carbonite Availability

Carbonite Availability combined with HPE StoreEasy Storage provides state-of-the-art data replication and failover capabilities with highly scalable and secure storage. Carbonite Availability enables protection of either just data or entire workloads on physical, virtual, or cloud-based servers via replication to the same or different types of servers, including clusters. Administrators can choose what to replicate and how much bandwidth is used to synchronize the target replica, allowing them to protect exactly what they want to protect, while reducing their overall business continuity-related storage and network footprint.

Carbonite Move quickly and easily migrates physical, virtual, and cloud server workloads over any distance with minimal risk and near zero downtime. Built on patented Double-Take real-time byte-level replication technology, Carbonite Move creates a replica of the data*, applications or entire server being migrated and keeps it in sync with your current production system. The migrated data can be validated without disrupting business operations, and downtime is limited to the seconds or minutes required for the cutover.

Carbonite Availability and Carbonite Move are available on HPE Catalog via HPE Complete program.

Standard Features

Carbonite Move

Carbonite Move's real-time byte-level replication technology migrates data, applications or entire servers to a target system in the background while users are online and productive. Carbonite Move then keeps the two systems in sync while the migrated data is validated - again without disrupting production operations. This means IT staff does not have to work nights and weekends and business continues uninterrupted. Downtime is limited to the seconds or minutes required for the cutover, which can be scheduled to meet the needs of staff.
