Product Highlights

Proven Reliability

Hewlett Packard Enterprise ensures the highest level of quality with media specifications that far exceed industry standards. HPE conducts tests on multiple batches of media using multiple drives to ensure performance in different environmental conditions, such as variations of high/low temperature and humidity. Changes in external conditions, which can easily occur when media is moved from different locations, can have a huge impact on error rate performance. Increased error rates jeopardize backup, and backup disruption jeopardizes business continuity. Hewlett Packard Enterprise supports hardware warranty initiatives in the field with a vested interest in reducing all media-induced hardware issues. Hewlett Packard Enterprise customers are many and varied; this is why HPE specifies stringent durability and reliability metrics that the media must satisfy before it is good enough to bear the HPE logo.

DLT and VS Technology

DLT tape has been a leading technology in backup and archive storage for medium-sized business for almost a decade. Developed by Quantum Corporation, DLT technology offers high-performance, reliable backup at a great value. HPE DLT tapes offer optimum compatibility with HPE as well as other certified DLT drives. HPE DLTtape VS1 160GB Data Cartridges offer higher capacity and low cost per GB for customers with prior investments in DLT backup technology. They are a good choice for IT managers in corporate and Enterprise data centers who need to back up value servers in a reasonable time frame.

SDLT Technology

Super DLT is another tape format which extends the capabilities of DLT technology. It is designed to meet the business-critical demands of enterprise storage customers. 2nd generation Super DLT II 600GB Data Cartridge offers high capacity and low cost per GB for customers with prior investments in DLT backup technology. Super DLTtape II cartridges support DLTSage for improved media and drive diagnostics. DLTSage enables IT managers and network staff to better manage, predict and proactively prevent backup problems.
