The HPE Standard Series Rack is specifically designed for the value-minded customer. It presents significant savings while providing a reliable industry standard rack that will fit many racking requirements.

The HPE Standard Series Rack is an industry standard 19" rack that can hold up to 2000 lbs of static load.

At a Glance

The HPE 42U Standard Pallet Rack is a full-featured, low cost rack option for HPE server and storage customers buying their first IT rack. It is fully compatible with all HPE rack-mounted servers, storage, and networking products, but recommended for those devices requiring less than 1075mm of depth. The HPE 42U Standard Pallet Rack is designed to meet the EIA-310D industry specification and can be used with most other non-HPE 19-inch wide devices. 

The HPE 42U 600mm x 1075mm Standard Pallet Rack includes:

• Front door with perforated design for better air flow
• Front and rear door handles and locks for security
• Cable management, rack stabilizer, baying, grounding kit and other options available
• Three-year limited warranty (3/0/0), parts only
• Covered by HPE Server Care Pack when server and rack purchased together
• Optional side panels come in 2 parts for ease of manageability and mounting

Rack Compatibility

HPE 42U Standard Pallet Racks utilize the industry-standard 19-inch RETMA rack design (now EIA) and can support most other non-HPE devices designed to mount in a 19-inch rack.

Rack Load Support

HPE racks are designed to support high capacity weight loads that include the weight of the rack and all the equipment installed. All HPE racks are tested to provide the following maximum weight loads:

• Static Load - maximum loaded weight that a rack can support without any movement;
• Dynamic Load (Rolling) - maximum loaded weight a rack can support while being moved (or rolled) within a data center or facility;
• Dynamic Load (Shipping) - maximum loaded weight a rack can support while being shipped to data center or facility - this includes services such as HPE Factory Express.

The HPE 42U Standard Rack is rated for Static Loads only (maximum of 2000 lbs. or 907 kg) and should never be used to transport installed IT equipment to or within an IT facility.  If transportation or movement of installed equipment within a rack is required, Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends that you review the Advanced and Enterprise racks for rack options rated for Dynamic Loads.

HPE Support Services

HPE Pointnext operational services include coverage for the Hewlett Packard Enterprise branded hardware options qualified for the server and purchased at the same time or afterward that are internal to the enclosure. This also includes the 22" and smaller external monitors and tower UPS options up to 3kVA. These items will be covered at the same service level and for the same coverage period as the server. Coverage of UPS Battery is not included, and standard warranty terms & conditions apply. For servers or storage systems installed within a rack, service also covers all HPE qualified rack options installed within the same rack.

  • Take advantage of complete installation and implementation support-including global rollout capabilities-to get rack solutions up-and-running rapidly, with minimal business disruption.
• Rack Option Hardware Support
  • Cover rack options with a single convenient service package. HPE Pointnext operational services for rack-mounted ProLiant DL servers and storage products provide support for all HPE-branded rack hardware options that are qualified for inclusion with the server at the time of or after purchase. In addition, 22-inch and smaller external monitors, tower units, and UPS options up to 3KVA are covered at the same service level and for the same period as the server at no additional cost. Also covered are any additional HPE-qualified rack options installed within the same rack.

HPE Pointnext operational services help increase uptime and productivity with rapid response on a 24x7 or 13x5 basis. Both options feature same-day, 4-hour onsite assistance when service issues cannot be resolved remotely. And both help enhance the return on server investment with proven HPE Services expertise and consistent support levels across geographically dispersed sites.
