HPE Enterprise Series Racks
The HPE Enterprise Series Rack Series is the next generation of enterprise-class racks designed to meet the current and future requirements of demanding datacenters. Perfect for IT Managers with a need for a large number of configured or non-configured racks that can accommodate their specific compute solution. It offers innovative intelligence capabilities for asset management, unparalleled structural integrity, cooling and cable management advances, and a wide choice of power and switching options. The HPE Enterprise Series is the first rack family to offer optional location discovery intelligence for advanced asset management. This new capability integrates with HPE Lights-Out Management (iLO) and HPE Intelligent Power Distribution Units (iPDU) to communicate to the datacenter manager the U space, row, and rack location of each server and also helps to manage and place the desired workload by carefully mapping current demands and available resources.

HPE Advanced and Enterprise Series Racks equipped with the Location Discovery option provide detailed location information to ProLiant servers to track new installations and equipment moves. Upon installation the server's iLO queries and records the rack identifier as well as the exact U location of the server in the rack. Once the server knows exactly where it is located this information can be forwarded to other systems such as HPE OneView and HPE Insight Control to automatically update new rack configuration. This saves time in configuring hardware and software to manage the data center while eliminating constant manual updates and the associated human errors that can slow resolution to issues and even cause down time and loss of business. HPE Enterprise Series Network Racks HPE Network Racks are designed for dense network equipment. These racks have the front vertical rails moved back 75mm to facilitate front to rear cabling and have additional bristle covered cable access slots in the front and on top of the racks to prevent mixing of hot and cold air and to allow for large cable bundles. These racks are available in standard 600mm and 800mm widths. The 800mm wide HPE Network Racks include slotted vertical cable channels on both sides in the rear of the rack. Enterprise Air Duct Racks HPE Enterprise Air Duct Racks work with the HPE Rack Air Duct Kit to direct hot exhaust air from the rear of the rack to air returns in the ceiling. These racks are designed for power requirements of up to 14kW, where the mixing of hot and cold air in the datacenter is minimized to improve efficiency without the cost of additional fans.

Service and Support

Warranty / Service Coverage	HPE Racks are covered by a 3 year limited warranty. For ProLiant servers and storage systems, this service covers HPE-branded hardware options qualified for the server, purchased at the same time or afterward, internal to the enclosure, as well as external monitors up to 22" and tower UPS products; these items will be covered at the same service level and for the same coverage period as the server unless the maximum supported lifetime and/or the maximum usage limitation has been exceeded. Coverage of the UPS battery is not included; standard warranty terms and conditions apply.

HPE Support Services	For ProLiant servers and storage systems, Care Pack service covers Hewlett Packard Enterprise branded hardware options qualified for the server, purchased at the same time or afterward, internal to the enclosure, as well as external monitors up to 22 inches and tower UPS products; these items will be covered at the same service level and for the same coverage period as the server. For the BladeSystem enclosures, Care Pack service covers the enclosure, power supplies, fans and enclosure devices including pass-thru, Ethernet interconnect and virtual connect modules. For ProLiant servers, storage, or BladeSystem enclosures installed within a rack, service also covers all HPE qualified racks and rack options including UPS products not exceeding 12kVA, KVM switches, consoles and power distribution units installed within the same rack. HPE Services To help streamline implementation and enhance ongoing support of rack solution, Hewlett Packard Enterprise provides cost-effective service options with resources and specialized expertise to complement customers’ in-house capabilities. Installation and Startup services Take advantage of complete installation and implementation support-including global rollout capabilities-to get rack solutions up-and-running rapidly, with minimal business disruption. Rack Option Hardware Support Cover rack options with a single convenient service package. HPE Pointnext operational services for rack-mounted ProLiant DL servers and storage products provide support for all HPE-branded rack hardware options that are qualified for inclusion with the server at the time of or after purchase. In addition, 22-inch and smaller external monitors, tower units, and UPS options up to 3KVA are covered at the same service level and for the same period as the server at no additional cost. Airflow Optimization

HPE Air Flow Optimization Kit

NOTE: The Airflow Optimization kit seals air gaps inside the rack, in between bayed racks, and the clearance from the floor to the rack to prevent hot and cold air from mixing thus optimizing the temperature at which the chilled air enters the racked servers.

NOTE: When configuring racks through Factory Express, a Rack Optimization kit will automatically ship with the rack. This kit is recommended for all other bayed rack configurations also.

HPE Racks are designed to support high capacity weight loads that include the weight of the rack and all the equipment installed. All HPE racks are tested to provide the following maximum weight loads:

Shipping - rack including shipping packaging and materials.
Static Load - maximum loaded weight that a rack can support when stationary.
Dynamic Load (rolling) - maximum loaded weight a rack can support when moved (or rolled).
Dynamic Load (configured) - maximum loaded weight a rack can support when shipped with equipment installed - this includes services such as HPE Factory Express.
Shipping - Max configured - maximum weight capacity a rack can support including rack, installed equipment, and packaging.

The EU WEEE directive (2002/95/EC) requires manufacturers to provide treatment information for each product type for use by treatment facilities. This information (product disassembly instructions) is posted on the Hewlett Packard Enterprise web site. These instructions may be used by recyclers and other WEEE treatment facilities as well as Hewlett Packard Enterprise OEM customers who integrate and re-sell Hewlett Packard Enterprise equipment.
