With its extensive device support, IMC enables true end-toend management of the entire network as well as the entire operation cycle.

HPE IMC Virtual Application Networking (VAN) Fabric Manager Software simplifies the management of data center and Fiber Channel (FC) storage area network (SAN) fabrics. HPE FlexFabric Network Analytics functionality has been added to this optional IMC software module, so you now can manage and act on real-time network analytics, which provides powerful out-of-the-box capabilities that enable your network operations team to efficiently manage physical and virtual networks of massive scale.

Businesses need effective real-time network analysis solutions that provide operators with deeper instrumentation and telemetry data about the network, devices, interfaces, and link performance. HPE FlexFabric 5950 Switches combined with this software module will give you the analytic tools to identify when microbursts occur along with the ability to rectify this network behavior which can cause network performance degradation. The software also provides a unified view in a graphical display of microburst activity as well as visibility of network and storage devices in the data center fabric alongside the fabric health to enable quick troubleshooting and proactive management. IMC VAN Fabric Manager software decreases manual provisioning and allows you to easily configure EVI, SPB, or TRILL through the same graphical user interface used to automate, monitor, and manage your entire network. You gain a better understanding of workload mobility with the VAN Fabric Manager software, as it reports critical information, such as the longest virtual machine (VM) duration, and allows you to visualize the migration of VMs through the virtualized network. With an optional add-on license, data center network management can be extended to physical and virtual FC SAN fabrics with FC-over-Ethernet (FCoE) management, simplifying the configuration of FCoE in the SAN and virtual SAN (VSAN).
