The HP TippingPoint Threat Protection System (TPS) is a unique network security platform that offers comprehensive threat protection against advanced and evasive targeted attacks, blocking vulnerabilities and exploits and defending against known and zero-day attacks with high accuracy. It provides industry-leading coverage across the different threat vectors from advanced threats, malware to phishing etc. in a high performance small form factor with extreme flexibility. The TPS uses a combination of technologies—including and not limited to deep packet inspection, threat reputation, and advanced malware analysis on a flow- by-flow basis to detect and prevent attacks on the network.

The TPS platform capabilities are augmented by industry-leading threat intelligence from Digital Vaccine® Labs (DVLabs), which enables the convergence of advanced security services including IP/DNS reputation feeds, HP TippingPoint Threat Digital Vaccine® Service (ThreatDV), and geo-location based filtering.  Enterprise Vulnerability Remediation (eVR) allows customers to pull in information from various vulnerability management vendors, map Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) to Digital Vaccine® filters, and take action based on the enhanced threat intelligence to maximize their security coverage.
