|
HPE Active Health System is an essential component of the HPE iLO Management Engine portfolio. It is an industry-first technology that provides continuous, proactive health monitoring of over 1600 system parameters. In addition, 100% of configuration changes are logged for more accurate problem resolution. SmartMemory and SmartDrive devices also log failure information to accurately document events and avoid inadvertent re-use of failed components. This information enables customers to start problem analysis 5 times faster and spend less time with support reproducing or describing errors. Prior to HPE Active Health System, whenever customers had a hardware issue that did not have an obvious root cause, they would rely on running diagnostics tools to try to isolate the cause of the issue. While these tools often do a good job of providing the necessary information, they can only be used after the fact and often just look at subsystems individually. Now HPE Active Health System is able to provide:
In addition, the consolidated health and service alerts with precise time stamping are synchronized to improve root cause diagnosis across systems and solutions allowing system administrator to export the HPE Active Health log to a Hewlett Packard Enterprise services professional for accurate and rapid problem resolution. And because it is completely agentless, HPE Active Health System does not impact application performance. All information collected by HPE Active Health is logged securely, isolated from the operating system and separated from any customer data. In 3-4 minutes, you can securely export the HPE Active Health file to a Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support professional to help you resolve your issue faster and more accurately. You can view the error information contained in the Active Health System Viewer by uploading your Active Health System file to http://www.hpe.com/servers/ahsv. When you upload your file to this portal if your server is under warranty you would be able to do the following: 1 View an inventory of your server 2 Self-repair some server errors 3 Raise support cases for errors that need HPE intervention 4 Perform firmware analysis a. Compare firmware/drivers installed on the server to firmware/drivers available in a given SPP b. View release notes and fixes available in a piece of firmware/driver c. Download the firmware/driver component |
