HPE develops SMB solutions that are simple, secure, and affordable. 

The HPE SMB Setup Software is a simple fast and easy way to install server operating system and virtualization software.  The software is delivered on a USB drive.   

Insert the USB drive into any USB slot and turn on your server.  The server will boot the software on the USB drive. 

The software first detects any hardware RAID controller and hard drives installed on the server.  Based on the hardware RAID controller and hard drives installed, you are guided through the hardware RAID and OS drive selection process.   

Next a menu will display the option of selecting hardware configuration tools (for example BIOS settings and Hardware Validation Test) and OS or virtualization software (Windows Server, VMware ESXi, ClearOS and ClearVM) to install on the hard drive.  Windows and VMware ESXi is installed from customer provided media, but ClearOS and ClearVM software is on the USB drive.
