• Docker Enterprise Edition for Windows: Easily upgrade the Docker Enterprise Edition Basic license that is included with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 to either Standard or Advanced editions providing improved image management, control, and several security features.
• Docker Enterprise Edition Advance: The most secure enterprise container platform, includes Docker Security Scanning, a binary level image scanning tool that identifies vulnerabilities. It also includes all of the features available within Docker Enterprise Edition (Standard).
• Docker Enterprise Edition Standard: Includes the container platform, built-in orchestration, secure image management with private registry and caching, integrated container application control plane (GUI), multi-tenancy, RBAC, LDAP/AD integration, secrets management, image signing, and policy management.
• Docker Enterprise Edition Basic: Available separately includes the container platform and built-in orchestration via Docker Swarm to add Docker containers to any platform.
• Docker Ready Servers: Include Docker Enterprise Edition Basic for development and deployment of Docker Containers.
• Flexibility: All HPE Docker software is available as 1 year or 3 year subscriptions.
• Agility: Package applications built with any language stack and its dependencies into isolated containers to eliminate conflicts with other software services and environments.

Key Features

• Fast time to value. Manage all system components from an integrated web console including; users, containers, services, networks, volumes, secrets and nodes. Easily deploy Docker EE with Docker compose or with a few clickets directly from within the UI.
• Orchestration and management at scale. Easily orchestrate containers and clustered Engine nodes at enterprise scale with Docker native tools like Compose, Swarm. The point and click UI makes actions like start, stop and scale quick and easy.


• Built-in high availability. From the datacenterr components to cluster to application, Docker Enterprise Edition provides high availability (HA) for the complete stack. Docker Enterprise Edition controllers and replicas can be configured in a one, three or five node set up for failover and state preservation. Application HA is provided through container rescheduling to healthy nodes in the case of node failures in a running cluster.


• End to end security. Build and deploy safer applications by modernizing with Docker. From the strongest default container isolation to workflows that ensure trusted delivery and full portability of all security configurations across any infrastructure.
• Role based access control. Integration to enterprise systems like LDAP/AD make it easy to manage user and group access to Docker Enterprise Edition managed repositories and Engines. Granular role based access control (RBAC) combined with labels allow IT administrators to ensure the right level of access and permissions for a project and team.

• Secure Secrets Management: Securely store secrets (API key credentials, etc) encrypted at rest and in transit to only the exact app service that requires them to operate.
• Image scanning and vulnerability monitoring (Docker EE Advanced only): Docker Security Scanning conducts a binary level scan of the image to create a detailed BOM. Docker is able to check against the current vulnerabilities and continuously monitor for vulnerabilities over time.

Licensing

Each Instance of Docker Enterprise Edition supports up to 2 CPU sockets. A minimum of one instance is needed per server running Docker software.

One HPE Docker software license is required for each operating system or virtual machine instance on the server.

License

Activation and Registration

All Docker subscriptions are delivered by an electronic License Entitlement Certificate (LEC) emailed to the final customer. Follow the instructions on the LEC to register and activate the licenses.  Once registered instructions will be provided to download the software directly from Docker.
