The HPE Cloudline CL2200 Gen10 Server is a versatile open infrastructure that delivers dense storage and Big Data. Powered by two Intel Xeon Scalable processors, the HPE CL2200 Gen10 Server is ideal for dense storage and Big Data workload in combination with high IOPS (Input/output Operations Per Second) computing demands. This 2U chassis supports up to 24 Small Form Factor (2.5") or 12 Large Form Factor (3.5") front accessible hard disk drives with optional two 2.5" rear disk drives delivering all the storage capacity required in a 2U chassis. 

For accelerated high IOPS, performance, and critical workloads requirements, HPE CL2200 Gen10 supports up to 4 front accessible NVMe SSD drives delivering all the operating power desired. It is ideal for storage and big data workloads in combination with high IOPs computing demands. A wide selection of high speed networking option with great flexibility OCP mezzanine or PCIe interface is also available.

Memory

Memory Subsystem Architecture

Intel® Xeon® Processor Scalable Family socket contains six memory channels per installed processor with two DIMM per channel for a total of eight (12) DIMMs or a grand total of twenty four (24) DIMMs for the server.


Memory Population guidelines


General Memory Population Rules and Guidelines

  • Install DIMMs only if the corresponding processor is installed.
  • If only one processor is installed in a two processor system, only half of the DIMM slots are available.
  • To maximize performance, it is recommended to balance the total memory capacity between all installed processors and load the channels similarly whenever possible.
  • When two processors are installed, balance the DIMMs across the two processors.
  • Mixing of DIMM types (RDIMM, and LRDIMM OR non-3DS and 3DS LRDIMMs) is not supported.
  • The maximum memory speed is a function of the memory type, memory configuration, and processor.
  • The maximum memory capacity is a function of the number of DIMM slots on the platform, the largest DIMM capacity qualified on the platform, the number and model of installed processors qualified on the platform.
  • When population DIMMs into a channel, slot #0 must be populated first. And then followed by the slot #1
