Memory Protection Advanced ECC Detects and corrects multi-bit memory errors. Advanced ECC can detect and correct up to 4-bit memory errors if all failed bits are on the same 4-bit DRAM device on the DIMM, thus enabling continued memory operation. Online Spare with Advanced ECC Support Provides protection against persistent DRAM failure. A rank that is starting to degrade making it more likely to receive a fatal/uncorrectable memory error is automatically removed from operation, swapping operation to the spare, thus resulting in less system downtime. Memory Mirroring with Advanced ECC Support Provides protection against uncorrectable memory errors that would otherwise result in system failure. In this mode, the system maintains two copies of all data. If an uncorrectable memory error occurs, the system automatically retrieves the good data from the mirrored (redundant) copy. Use this option to select from the available Memory Mirroring modes.
HPE Fast Fault Tolerance Fault Tolerant Advanced Double Device Data Correction (ADDDC) enables the system to correct memory errors and continue to operate in cases of multiple DRAM device failures on a DIMM. This provides protection against uncorrectable memory errors beyond what is available with Advanced ECC. |
